Singapore-based Healthtech Startup Smartfuture Deploys Health Screening Kiosks in Offices to Curb Rising Diabetes and Hypertension

Winner of Slush Singapore x Philips Start-Up Challenge

Smartfuture is proud to announce our win at the 2018’s Slush Singapore X Philips Startup Challenge. Emerging champion out of 100 applications, 20 semi-finalists and 6 finalists, Smartfuture clinched the title with our corporate wellness platform.

After competing against 20 start-up companies specializing in the area of healthcare, Smart Future was short-listed to the final 6 with our innovative MedCheck Health Kiosk. Our CEO, Sumit Khemani gave a captivating pitch to the Philips judges, in which he explained in details on how our product provides analysis and prevention of non-contagious diseases, such as diabetes and heart disease.

This is done as our Health Kiosk is installed into corporate workplaces, allowing employees to carry out vital health checks at their own office, including blood pressure or blood glucose levels monitoring. Detecting early signs of high blood pressure and high blood glucose levels through our Health Kiosk can encourage our users to get further checks with a qualified doctor, to verify if they are suffering from a serious disease. Each of our users also receives personalized health and wellness advice through our Mobile App, encouraging them to improve their current state of health through exercise and diet.

Following our win, we will be working with Philips under a targeted acceleration period to help develop our product further with the opportunity to receive support from Philips’ experts, resources, and network. Overall this is a very exciting opportunity that we are happy to have achieved and is looking forward to what 2019 have in stores for us.
